A movie lover from the start, Jose Carlos Gomez has been involved in filmmaking ever since him and his family came out in a Trailways commercial, in the early 1980’s. Somewhere on the cutting room floor for the movie,
Code of Silence, a ten-year-old Jose might be seen as an extra. Ever since these filmmaking experiences, Jose has worked on several Chicago-area productions.
Credited in eight separate productions, Jose has produced and directed 5 movies, two of which are featured length. In 2007 Jose won the Geneva Film Festival People’s Choice award for his short, Tragedy of the Delivery Boy.
Jose has partnered with Bled White producer, Kelli Tidmore to create CU There Productions, and together they plan to call on local talent to help create films that all involved can be proud of, and audiences will enjoy.
